What happens at your first visit
Your first appointment is a full hour.
I start by asking how I can help. Before anything else, I want to understand why you came in and what you are hoping to get out of your care.
From there we go through your full history: the medications you take, your allergies, your family history, and any genetic risk factors worth knowing about. That is the part that takes time, and it is the reason the visit is an hour.
Then I make recommendations built around you specifically. That might mean labs, imaging, or screenings. I will tell you what each one is for and what it costs before you decide on any of it.
Baseline labs

I recommend an initial lab panel for every new patient. It looks at blood counts, liver and kidney function, clotting, vitamin levels, hormones from your brain thyroid, adrenal and gonadal systems as well as markers in carbohydrate, protein, and lipid metabolism. It runs around $170.
If you want your labs drawn at the first visit, come fasting. That means nothing to eat or drink beforehand for 8 hours, water only.
What to bring

Bring a full list of your medications with dosages, unless you already entered them when you enrolled.
If you have copies of your records, bring those. I will take a complete history myself at the first visit and enter what is relevant into your chart, so nothing is lost if you do not have them. They help, but they are not required.
In person or virtual

I prefer to do first visits in person. If that is not workable for you, we can do it virtually and go from there.

How to join
Each person has their own membership at their age rate.

Labs, imaging, and screenings are billed separately. I will always tell you what something costs before you decide on it.
